Returns

We believe in the quality of our products and we use them ourselves. If you have any questions or concerns about your order please contact us as soon as possible at info@holdentool.com

We do allow returns up to 30 days from receipt of your order. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging if applicable.

To request a return authorization please email info@holdentool.com with the reason for your return and we will email you return instructions. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Origination shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of the product in the condition as stated above.

Cosmetic Conditions Policy

At Holden Tool Company we strive to deliver tools in the best condition possible. However, these are professional-grade working tools. They are manufactured in small batches, shipped overseas, and stored in bulk in a warehouse environment. The special high-carbon steel alloys used in these tools are chosen for their strength, edge retention, and durability in real working conditions, but like many quality tool steels they are not stainless and may show surface oxidation.

As a result, it is normal for tools to show:

  • Superficial scratches in the protective coating (including paint, varnish, etc.)
  • Small scuffs or handling marks
  • Light surface oxidation (sometimes mistaken for “rust”)

These are cosmetic variations only. They do not affect the tool’s quality, strength, or performance. For this reason, we do not provide refunds, discounts, or partial credits for cosmetic wear of this kind.

If you are dissatisfied with the appearance of a tool when it arrives, you may return it unused and in its original condition for a full refund.

Damaged Shipments

We go to great effort to make sure your order is properly packaged and safely delivered. Furthermore, we insure all shipments to our customers to cover damage in the event that it occurs. However, sometimes accidents happen and products arrive in unsatisfactory condition.

In the event that you receive a shipment that has been damaged please photograph and document the damage immediately and (if possible) before opening a damaged container, and notify us IMMEDIATELY. This will allow us to facilitate an insurance claim with the carrier.

  • Inspect Your Order Immediately: Please check the condition of your package upon arrival, before using or gifting items.
  • Retain Packaging: If your product arrives damaged, do not throw away the packaging or internal packing materials. Shipping insurance claims require photos of all packaging, including the internal packing materials.
  • Take Photos: Photograph the box from all sides, the internal packaging, and the damaged items themselves. Clear, detailed photos are crucial for our insurance claim process.
  • Contact Us Right Away: If your shipment arrives damaged, please email us within 48 hours with your order number, photos, and a detailed description of the damage. We encourage you to reply to your order confirmation email to include your order information automatically.
  • Insurance Requirements: Our insurer may require you to complete an affidavit or provide additional documentation. Fulfilling these requests promptly helps us process your claim more quickly.
  • Before we can issue a refund for damaged products we must have your cooperation to obtain the information above. We cannot guarantee coverage if you dispose of the products, packaging or are unable to provide sufficient proof of the damage.

Exchanges

If you received and item that is defective or damaged please send us an email at info@holdentool.com and we will rectify the situation.
